Arrival and Kathmandu tour
Upon our arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our dedicated driver and guide will be present to receive us. We will be greeted in the warm and traditional Nepali manner. Later in the evening, at our Welcome Dinner, our Nepalese tour guide will provide us with an overview of our upcoming itinerary.
2nd day, our first destination is Swyambhunath, popularly known as the monkey temple. Situated on a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, this temple offers breathtaking views of the valley and mountains if the weather permits. Our next stop is the renowned Shiva Temple, Pashupatinath, considered one of the most prominent Hindu temples in the entire Indian subcontinent. Adjacent to the temple is a cremation site where departed individuals receive their final rites.
Our journey continues with a visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, where we have the opportunity to see the living goddess Kumari. This square is famed for its captivating arts and crafts and was once a palace. After exploring this area, we will take a walking tour of Asan, a lively and vibrant Nepalese market.
On day 3rd, we drive 30 minutes to the entrance of Shivapuri National Park after an early breakfast. We will tour this national park, one of Nepal’s biodiversity hotspots, after paying the entry fee. Long-tailed Broadbill, Golden-throated Barbet, Orange-bellied Leafbird, Orange-headed Thrush, Asian-barred/Collared Owlets with the rarest being the Spot-bellied Owl, Long-tailed and Scarlet Minivet, Long-tailed Thrush, Himalayan Vulture, Forktails, Warblers, and Black Eagle are some of the top bird species in this area. Later in the afternoon, return to the hotel.

Fly to Nepalgunj & Explore Bardia National Park
We take off for Nepalgunj shortly after breakfast. Transfer to Bardiya National Park takes around 3–4 hours after arriving at Nepalgunj airport. In Terai, it is the biggest and the most undisturbed national park, bordering the eastern bank of the Karnali River and split in half by the Babai River. It is filled with animals and birds, including royal Bengal Tigers.
For the next four nights, we’ll find our haven at Tiger Tops Karnali Lodge, a splendid eco-friendly resort deeply intertwined with the local community, and dedicated to nurturing the surrounding environment.
Without a doubt, seeing animals in their natural environment is wonderful. We’ll wake up early to catch the dawn and have breakfast. Throughout these three days, we engage in several activities such as jeep safaris and forest hikes and many more. Our naturalist safari guide will assist you in seeing rhino, sloth bears, wild boar, and, if we are really fortunate, a Royal Bengal tiger. Please be aware that the activities’ start and end times may change. Dinner and lunch will be served at the hotel.

Fly to Kathmandu and drive to Dhulikhel via Bhaktapur
Begin your day with a hearty breakfast, followed by a scenic 4-hour drive to the airport for your flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, we’ll embark on a journey to Bhaktapur, a captivating medieval city, known for its charm and history. A leisurely 30-minute drive will lead us to this remarkable destination, allowing ample time for exploration.
Continuing our adventure, we’ll make our way to Dhulikhel, where the luxurious Dwarika Resort awaits us. Here, we will indulge in a two-night stay, treating ourselves to a range of rejuvenating experiences. From spa treatments and invigorating yoga sessions to tranquil meditation or simply unwinding by the pool, the choices are yours to make. As you bask in the breathtaking Himalayan panorama, you’ll create lasting memories before concluding this unforgettable journey and heading back home.
